Koven Technology, the manufacturer of the product, says the software features complete ABI and TBI software for simple documentation and automatic calculation of ratios. The Smartdop, which weighs just 2 pounds, also has an optional PPG plug-in module to measure toe pressures in patients with diabetes. The new Cobalt Chrome/Titanium Hemi-Toe implant from Futura Biomedical is shaped like a trapezoid to match the geometry of a resected proximal phalanx. The implant features a cobalt chrome articulating surface and a titanium plasma spray coated stem, which encourages osseous integration, according to the company. The company adds that the thin base of the hemi-toe implant facilitates preservation of the flexor tendon insertion site even when joint decompression is necessary. Are you searching for an alternative to total contact casting? Search no further than the Conformer Diabetic Boot. According to Bledsoe Brace Systems, the manufacturer of the product, the boot may replace the use of total contact casting in treating ulcerative or pre-ulcerative conditions. The company emphasizes that the boot’s dual density midsole can accommodate most Charcot conditions.
